India violated agreement regarding missile tests: Pakistan

India violated an agreement by not informing Pakistan three days prior to conducting a test of a domestically produced multi-warhead missile, stated Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, the spokesperson for the Foreign Office (FO). The Indian missile test, which occurred on March 11, was noted, but India failed to adhere to the agreement's notification requirement, she added.

The missile test in question involved the Agni-5 missile, which incorporates Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology. Notably, nations such as Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States employ MIRV technology, with Pakistan conducting its own test in 2017, according to the Washington-based advocacy group Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation.
