PIA recruits new Chief IT Officer as part of
reforms
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has
appointed a new Chief Information Technology Officer (CIO) as part of its
ongoing restructuring and reform programme, according to officials familiar
with the development.
The selection process for the key
position has been completed, with the newly appointed CIO expected to join the
national flag carrier in September.
The appointment is part of PIA’s
broader efforts to strengthen its management structure, improve operational
efficiency and enhance its technological capabilities by bringing experienced
professionals into critical leadership roles.

Meanwhile, the airline is also
nearing the completion of its search for a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Interviews have reportedly been conducted with several qualified candidates
from the aviation industry, with a final decision expected soon.
The leadership changes are expected
to play an important role in PIA’s efforts to modernise its management systems,
upgrade its technology infrastructure and improve service delivery.
An official announcement on the
appointment of the new CEO is anticipated shortly and is expected to mark
another significant step in the airline’s ongoing transformation and
restructuring process.
