Serene Air winding down offices in Pakistan
Serene
Air has confirmed the closure of its operations and business activities in
Pakistan, with the airline winding down its offices at airports and in cities
across the country, according to aviation sources.
Sources said the airline’s Chinese
chief executive visited Pakistan last month and held meetings with senior
officials of relevant institutions. During those discussions, a decision was
reportedly finalized to discontinue the airline’s operations and dispose of its
remaining assets in Pakistan.
The airline has also informed its
employees through email to collect their personal belongings as its offices
were being vacated.

According to aviation sources,
Serene Air has sold its vehicles and other marketable assets through vendors,
while its airport offices have been handed over to the Civil Aviation
Authority.
Sources further said the airline has
cleared its outstanding liabilities, including dues, taxes, rents and other
payments owed to government departments and relevant institutions.
The developments mark the final
stage of Serene Air’s withdrawal from the Pakistani aviation market.
