Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Air starts flights to Pakistan
A new chapter in Saudi-Pakistan aviation ties took off
this week as Riyadh Air’s inaugural
flight from Riyadh landed at Islamabad International Airport, marking the
airline’s entry into the Pakistani market.
Saudi Press Attaché Dr. Saif Nasser Almashali confirmed
the arrival on Saturday, describing the flight as a significant step toward
expanding air connectivity between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The inaugural arrival was received with a formal welcome
attended by Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Director
General of Protocol Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi and Commercial Attaché Naif Al-Harbi.

Officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Defence, along
with representatives of the country’s aviation and airport authorities, also
attended the reception.
Calling the development “a new step that further
strengthens Saudi-Pakistani relations,” Dr. Almashali highlighted the broader
significance of the airline’s launch beyond aviation.
The start of Riyadh Air’s Pakistan operations is expected to provide another
air link between the two countries, facilitating travel and potentially
supporting stronger business, tourism and people-to-people ties.
