Modern Data Center at Karachi Airport to facilitate flight operations
In a major step toward digital modernization, the Pakistan
Airports Authority (PAA) has inaugurated a cutting-edge data center at Jinnah
International Airport, Karachi. The new facility is poised to revolutionize
airport operations and digital infrastructure across the country.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Director General PAA,
Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed, who emphasized the pivotal role of technology
in advancing modern aviation systems. “This data center will significantly
strengthen our operational efficiency, enhance data management, and support the
future of smart airport services in Pakistan,” he remarked.

Equipped with advanced systems, the center will centralize
data from Karachi Airport and PAA headquarters, enabling real-time monitoring,
seamless information flow, and improved decision-making. It also lays the
groundwork for upcoming digital passenger services, including e-gates,
high-speed Wi-Fi, and 5G connectivity—initiatives aimed at enhancing the travel
experience for millions of passengers annually.
Air Vice Marshal Saeed commended the project teams for their
dedication and professionalism, presenting commemorative shields to the
Additional Director IT, Project Director, and other key contributors. Senior
officials from the Jinnah International Airport, including the Airport Manager,
also attended the ceremony.
