The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has approved a major expansion of Jinnah International Airport, with an allocation of Rs100 billion aimed at addressing growing passenger traffic and long-term capacity requirements.

Sources said the project will feature the construction of a new terminal building, a state-of-the-art cargo village, and several additional facilities as part of a comprehensive upgrade of the airport’s infrastructure.

Work on the expansion has already been fast-tracked by the PAA administration, signaling a significant move toward modernising the country’s busiest airport and enhancing its operational efficiency.
