Interior Minister says no one will be allowed to tarnish Pakistan's image while traveling abroad

Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Saturday said the government would not permit
anyone to damage the country’s image while travelling abroad, according to
state-run Radio Pakistan.
The minister made the remarks during a visit to
Jinnah International Airport, where he reviewed immigration arrangements.
He said passengers carrying unverified or
illegal travel documents would not be allowed to leave the country. Naqvi also
warned that professional beggars posing as genuine travellers would be
offloaded and subjected to legal action.

At the same time, he assured that travellers
with valid documents had not been stopped in the past and would not be stopped
in the future, stressing that facilitating passengers remained a top government
priority.
Naqvi praised officials of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for
ensuring proper verification of travel documents and maintaining an effective
screening process.
Earlier this month, while chairing a meeting
to review the performance of the FIA’s Immigration Wing, the interior minister
had directed authorities to enforce stricter scrutiny of travel documents at
