PAF aircraft crash lands in fields near Vehari
A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) training
aircraft crashed near Mouza Faiz Wah, Basti Dakhli — a suburban area of Vehari
— on Wednesday, following a technical malfunction mid-flight. Both pilots on
board managed to eject safely using the aircraft’s emergency system, sustaining
only minor injuries.
The aircraft went down in
agricultural fields close to a private oil depot, narrowly avoiding a major
disaster. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the aircraft catch fire in the air before
it crashed with a loud explosion. Upon impact, the flames intensified,
completely engulfing the wreckage.

Local residents, startled by the
blast and rising smoke, rushed to the crash site. According to those at the
scene, the aircraft missed the outer wall of the oil depot by a small margin —
a near-miss that prevented what could have been a far more serious incident.
Emergency services, including the
fire brigade, Rescue 1122, police, and other security personnel, responded
swiftly and secured the area.
