Punjab Assembly recommends tax waiver for Sialkot Airport to boost regional economy

Resolution recommends waiving off tax on Sialkot Airport

In a major step toward strengthening regional trade and economic activity, the Punjab Assembly has approved a resolution recommending a waiver of the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) tax on services at Sialkot International Airport.

The proposed tax relief would bring Sialkot Airport in line with other airports operated by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), promoting fair competition and improved service delivery.

This achievement is largely attributed to the efforts of Khawaja Mansha Ullah Butt, whose dedication to the region’s progress has been widely acknowledged. Special appreciation was also extended to Khawaja Muhammad Asif for his consistent support and strategic guidance.

Officials anticipate that the tax waiver will improve operational efficiency at the airport, support local exporters, and open up new avenues for sustainable economic growth in the region.
