Govt to construct airport in AJK to facilitate Kashmiri people
The federal government, led by the
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has announced plans to construct an
airport in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), addressing a long-standing demand from
overseas Pakistanis.
The move comes in response to
increasing calls from the Pakistani diaspora, including formal appeals by
British Members of Parliament of Kashmiri descent, urging Prime Minister
Shehbaz Sharif to prioritize the initiative.
