French ambassador briefed about Pakistan Airports Authority 

French Ambassador to Pakistan, Nicolas Galey, and Consul General Alexis Chahtahtinsky visited the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) headquarters on Friday.

They were warmly welcomed by PAA Director General, Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed, and other senior officials.

During the visit, Ambassador Galey was briefed on the PAA’s evolving role following its separation from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), its strategic vision, and ongoing modernization initiatives. Key topics of discussion included the
implementation of e-gates, the introduction of Required Navigation Performance with Authorization Required (RNP AR) approaches at northern airports, and plans to outsource operations at major airports to enhance service standards.

The operationalization of the New Gwadar International Airport was also highlighted as a significant milestone in Pakistan’s aviation development.

Ambassador Galey praised PAA’s modernization efforts and reiterated France’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s aviation sector.

DG PAA, AVM Zeeshan Saeed, emphasized the importance of international cooperation and explored opportunities for collaboration with French firms to advance Pakistan's airport infrastructure.

The visit concluded with the exchange of souvenirs, symbolizing the strengthening of bilateral ties between Pakistan and France in the aviation sector.
