During the session, the airside
manager detailed current measures to mitigate wildlife risks and manage
vegetation near the airport. He highlighted that the airside area is fully
enclosed with a secure fence and monitored 24/7 by specialized bird and
wildlife control teams. Routine safety inspections are also conducted before
every flight’s landing and takeoff to ensure adherence to strict operational standards.
While no official complaints
regarding stray dogs or wildlife on the airside have been reported, the
director general emphasized the need for exploring advanced technologies to
further enhance security and safety protocols.
Following the meeting, the DG
conducted an inspection of the general aviation area, which, due to its
semi-open layout, is more prone to stray animal intrusions compared to the main
airport. The PAA is now considering additional measures to strengthen security
in this zone.
