UAE to impose penalties on Pakistani travelers not following visa rules
The UAE has issued a stern advisory
for Pakistani citizens visiting the country, emphasizing the importance of
adhering to local laws and visa regulations. Failure to comply could result in
travelers being barred from leaving the UAE.
Hussain Muhammad, the Consul-General
of Pakistan in Dubai, warned that Pakistani travelers would be closely
monitored at Pakistani airports. Travelers who do not meet certain
requirements, such as having confirmed hotel reservations, sufficient funds,
and return tickets, may be stopped from departing.

Travel industry experts have
highlighted that tourists entering the UAE on a visit visa must possess at
least AED 3,000, a return ticket, and either hotel accommodation or proof of
residence with a family member. Failure to meet these conditions could result
in being denied entry and sent back to Pakistan.
Hussain Muhammad urged the 1.7
million Pakistani expatriates in the UAE to strictly follow local laws and
customs, emphasizing that violators could face fines or imprisonment. He also
encouraged expatriates to contribute positively to UAE society.
In an interview with Khaleej Times,
Muhammad noted that the visa issue is being handled by Pakistan’s Federal
Investigation Agency (FIA) and airport authorities. Those who fail to meet the
necessary requirements will be prevented from boarding their flights.
