Outsourcing: Turkish investors evince interest in outsourcing of
Pakistani airports
A delegation of high-ranking investors from Turkey toured Karachi
Airport, expressing keen interest in the outsourcing of Pakistan's airport
sector.
According to reports, the Turkish investor delegation explored the
domestic arrival and departure lounge at Karachi airport. They were briefed on
airport operations by a team from the Civil Aviation Authority, headed by
Secretary Aviation, Saif Anjum.

The Turkish investors received insights into passenger traffic and
business activities at the airport. The delegation is also scheduled to visit the
CAA Headquarters and Cargo Terminal.
The federal government had previously decided to outsource the
management of the country's major airports, including Karachi, Lahore, and
Islamabad.
Investors from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Qatar, the United
Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Turkey, along with local groups, have shown
interest in managing the three airports in Pakistan.

extends bid deadline for airports' outsourcing to May 15th
On March 21, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) extended the bid
submission deadline for the outsourcing of Islamabad International Airport.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized transparency as the
government's foremost priority in the airport outsourcing process. He
highlighted Pakistan's initiative to outsource certain commercial operations of
Islamabad International Airport through Public-Private Partnership.
