PIA to restart international flights from Skardu Airport
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the resumption
of its flights from Skardu Airport following the seasonal suspension due to
adverse weather conditions in the region.
A spokesperson for the national carrier revealed that PIA will
recommence its service with two weekly flights to Dubai, UAE, commencing from
April 29.

Airport to be promoted to attract international tourism
It is worth noting that PIA had initiated international flights
from Skardu to Dubai in August last year. PIA officials emphasized that these
flights will not only boost international tourism but also facilitate trekking
and expeditions in the Baltistan Region.
Furthermore, they anticipate that these flights will contribute to
the enhancement of international tourism, trade, cultural exchange, and
diplomatic relations between various countries and Pakistan.
Following the suspension of flights to Dubai due to heavy
rainfall, a PIA spokesperson stated that flight operations will resume once the
situation at Dubai airport improves.

Pakistan welcomes inaugural international flight
The spokesperson mentioned that adverse weather conditions in
Dubai and Sharjah led to the cancellation of 22 flights from Pakistan to Dubai
since April 16.
Passengers affected by the canceled flights are being prioritized
for re-accommodation on subsequent flights.
