Pakistan’s civil aviation delegation attends 58th DGCA Conference in Dhaka
Director General Khaqan Murtaza and his team from the
Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) actively engaged in the 58th DGCA
Conference held in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Throughout the conference, a series of
meetings and discussions transpired with representatives from various countries
and organizations.
DG PCAA spearheaded a capacity-building and implementation
session aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of participants in these
critical domains. This session served as a valuable platform for the sharing of
experiences and best practices.

Furthermore, PCAA representatives held a productive meeting
with the Director of the International Civil Aviation Organization's (ICAO)
Office of Capacity Development and Implementation, with a primary focus on
strengthening cooperation and collaboration between Pakistan and ICAO in these
crucial areas.
Additionally, bilateral discussions were conducted with ICAO
Deputy Director Dr. Manjeet Singh, who heads the Combined Action Team (CAT)
slated to visit Pakistan in the near future. Meetings were also held with the European
Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which is scheduled to visit Pakistan next
month. The primary purpose of these meetings was to discuss the objectives and
expectations for these upcoming visits, as they are integral to the continued
advancement of civil aviation and the aviation industry in Pakistan.

Pakistan also engaged in bilateral talks with
representatives from the United Kingdom, Australia, and South Africa, focusing
on various aspects of civil aviation, including safety, security, and regulatory
frameworks. The core objective of these discussions was to foster cooperation
and facilitate the exchange of knowledge among nations.
Lastly, the PCAA team had the opportunity to interact with
representatives from the Flight Safety Foundation (FSF), enabling the exchange
of ideas and experiences related to flight safety while promoting a culture of
safety within the civil aviation sector.
