AirSial inducts 12th aircraft to become second largest airline of Pakistan
AirSial
has strengthened its position in Pakistan’s aviation industry by inducting its 12th
aircraft, making it the country’s second-largest airline by fleet size.
The newly acquired Airbus A320 arrived at
Karachi Airport from overseas late Wednesday night and is expected to be
deployed on both domestic and international routes.
With the latest addition, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)
remains the country’s largest airline by fleet size with 32 aircraft, while
AirSial has moved into second place with 12 aircraft, ahead of Airblue, which
operates 11. South Air currently has a fleet of two ATR aircraft.

The latest induction comes as AirSial pursues an
expansion of its domestic and international network. The airline is also
planning further additions to its fleet to support the launch of new routes and
increase operational capacity.
An AirSial spokesperson said the airline has
reached an agreement with a foreign aviation company involving 19 aircraft, of
which 18 are planned to be incorporated into AirSial’s fleet.
The planned fleet expansion is expected to
enable the airline to introduce additional routes, enhance connectivity and
create new employment opportunities in Pakistan’s aviation sector.
The
move underscores AirSial’s growing presence in the country’s increasingly
competitive commercial aviation market.
