Iran’s Mahan Air to relaunch one weekly flight on Tehran–Lahore route
Iranian carrier Mahan
Air is set to resume direct flight operations between Tehran and Lahore
from June 16, restoring an important air link between Pakistan and Iran.
According to the flight schedule, the airline will
initially operate one weekly flight on the route, providing passengers with a
direct connection between the Iranian capital and Pakistan’s second-largest
city. The service is expected to facilitate travel for businesspersons,
tourists, students, and religious pilgrims traveling between the two countries.
The Tehran–Lahore route is currently scheduled to operate once a week, with a
flight time of approximately three hours and 20 minutes.

The resumption comes as airlines across the region
continue to restore and expand international operations in response to growing
travel demand and improving air connectivity. Aviation industry observers view
the move as a positive step toward strengthening people-to-people contacts and
commercial ties between Pakistan and Iran.
Pakistan and Iran maintain close cultural, religious,
and economic relations, with thousands of travelers moving between the two
countries each year. Direct air services play a key role in supporting bilateral
trade, tourism, and religious travel, particularly for pilgrims visiting sacred
sites in Iran.
Mahan Air, one of Iran’s leading private airlines, has
previously operated flights to several destinations in Pakistan, including
Lahore and Islamabad. The carrier's return to the Lahore route is expected to
provide travelers with additional options and enhance connectivity between the
two neighboring countries.
