PIA to exchange landing gear shipsets of Airbus planes for continued operational reliability
Pakistan International Airlines has
invited bids for the exchange of landing gear shipsets installed on four of its
Airbus A320 aircraft as part of its
ongoing maintenance and overhaul programme.
According to details released by the airline, the landing gear shipsets currently installed on the aircraft are approaching their scheduled overhaul deadlines and will become due for a second overhaul cycle. The exchange process is aimed at ensuring continued operational reliability and compliance with aviation maintenance standards.

The aircraft included in the bid process are
registered as AP-BLB, AP-BLS, AP-BLY, and AP-BLZ.
For aircraft AP-BLB, the landing gear overhaul
is due on February 9, 2027, while replacement is planned for January 4, 2027.
Aircraft AP-BLS is scheduled for overhaul on June 4, 2027, with replacement
planned on February 15, 2027.
Meanwhile, aircraft AP-BLY has an overhaul due date of August 2, 2027, and a planned replacement date of July 2, 2027. Aircraft AP-BLZ is scheduled for overhaul on March 5, 2027, with replacement planned for January 15, 2027.
