Saudi airplane catches fire while landing at Peshawar airport
A Saudi Arabian airliner experienced a fire in its landing gear upon touching down at Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport on Thursday, prompting the swift evacuation of all passengers and crew to safety, as stated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The incident occurred as Saudi Airlines flight 792 from Riyadh landed, with
air traffic controllers observing smoke and sparks from the left-side landing
gear. They immediately alerted the pilots and notified airport fire and rescue
services.

CAA fire vehicles swiftly responded and managed to extinguish the flames engulfing the landing gear, preventing a potentially serious accident, according to a CAA spokesperson Saifullah.
"All 276 passengers and 21 crew members were safely evacuated using an inflatable slide," Saifullah confirmed.
