Pakistan,
Türkiye discuss enhancing cooperation in aerospace domain
Pakistan and Türkiye have reaffirmed
their commitment to expanding bilateral collaboration in defence, aerospace
innovation, and emerging technologies during the official visit of Air Chief
Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu to Türkiye.
During the visit, the Chief of the
Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) held a series of high-level meetings
with senior Turkish defence and aerospace leadership, including General Ziya
Cemal Kadıoğlu, Commander of the Turkish Air Force; Yaşar Güler, Türkiye’s
Minister of National Defence; and Selçuk Bayraktar, Chief Technology Officer of
Baykar Technologies.
At the Turkish Air Force
Headquarters, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu was accorded a ceremonial welcome,
including a Guard of Honour presented by a contingent of the Turkish Air Force,
symbolising the longstanding brotherly ties between the two nations.

The two Air Chiefs discussed matters
of mutual interest and explored avenues to further strengthen cooperation
between their respective air forces. Both sides emphasized the importance of
enhanced interoperability and operational synergy through bilateral military
exercises, professional exchange programmes, and advanced training initiatives.
General Kadıoğlu appreciated the
Pakistan Air Force’s continued support in training Turkish pilots, describing
it as a valuable contribution to professional development and operational
understanding between the two countries.
The discussions also focused on
expanding institutional collaboration in emerging domains to bolster
operational preparedness against evolving security challenges.
In a separate meeting with Defence
Minister Yaşar Güler, the Air Chief highlighted the deep-rooted historical,
cultural, and strategic ties shared by Pakistan and Türkiye. The Turkish
minister praised the professionalism and modernization efforts of the Pakistan
Air Force and expressed interest in enhancing cooperation in training, capacity
building, and aerospace development.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu also met
with Selçuk Bayraktar, where both sides discussed advancements in aerospace
innovation, unmanned aerial systems, and next-generation defence technologies.

strategic partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye and reflects the commitment
