Pakistan’s Noor Airways terms media reports about leadership misleading
Emerging Pakistani carrier Noor Airways has issued a clarification
rejecting what it described as inaccurate reports regarding the airline’s
leadership, as the company moves forward with plans to launch commercial
operations in the country.
In an official statement, the
airline said recent media reports about its management structure were
misleading and did not reflect the company’s actual leadership arrangements.
“Noor Airways wishes to clarify that
recent reports regarding its leadership are inaccurate,” the airline said,
adding that the project is being developed and managed by experienced
professionals from the commercial aviation sector.
The airline stated that official
announcements concerning its operations, management and launch timeline would
be communicated through verified company channels.

Airways to seek regular public transport license from Pakistan Civil Aviation
Authority
The clarification comes as Noor
Airways advances through Pakistan’s aviation regulatory process ahead of
entering the domestic market. According to available details, the airline’s
application for a Regular Public Transport (RPT) licence has already been
processed by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority.
The carrier plans to begin
operations with domestic routes using Airbus A320 aircraft, a widely used
narrow-body jet commonly deployed on short- and medium-haul routes.
Pakistan’s aviation sector has seen
renewed activity in recent years, with several private airlines seeking to
expand operations or enter the market amid growing domestic travel demand.
Improved tourism activity, particularly in northern regions such as Skardu, has
also encouraged airlines to launch new services and routes.
Industry analysts say new entrants
could help increase competition in Pakistan’s domestic aviation market, which
has traditionally been dominated by Pakistan International Airlines alongside a
limited number of private carriers.
The planned launch of Noor Airways
follows a broader trend of aviation sector expansion in Pakistan, where
regulators have been processing applications for new operators as passenger
traffic gradually recovers and fleet modernisation efforts continue across the
industry.
