Pakistan increases cooperation with China in satellite-based connectivity
Chinese commercial space company Geespace, a subsidiary of Geely
Holding, has signed a cooperation agreement with Pakistan’s satellite
communications operator, Paksat International,
to support the rollout of satellite-based connectivity services in Pakistan and
regional markets.

According to a statement issued by Geespace, the
partnership will focus on policy coordination, technical collaboration, and
market development for the company’s low-Earth-orbit satellite Internet of
Things (IoT) constellation in Pakistan and surrounding areas.
Under the agreement, Paksat will provide support
in policy engagement and regulatory compliance, facilitating the deployment of
Geespace’s satellite services in the country.
