Extension granted in Soft Skills Certificate requirement
to facilitate overseas workers
The Bureau of
Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) has announced a one-month
extension in the implementation of the Soft Skills Certificate requirement for
protector registration for Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia and the
United Arab Emirates.
In a statement shared on its official Facebook
page, the bureau said the requirement, which was initially set to take effect
on February 1, 2026, will now be enforced from March 1, 2026. The decision
provides temporary relief to Pakistanis seeking employment in Gulf countries.

According to the BEOE, the extension aims to
facilitate smoother travel arrangements for workers and individuals required to
obtain protector registration before departure.
The bureau expressed hope that the additional
time would ease the process for applicants and help create better employment
opportunities for Pakistani workers, particularly in Gulf states such as
Kuwait.
Authorities have advised prospective travelers
to remain in contact with official channels for updates and to ensure
compliance with revised requirements.
