United States Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker visited Sialkot International Airport (SIAL), commending its contribution to trade promotion and regional economic development. During her visit, she was briefed on Pakistan’s first privately developed international airport and its evolution from an ambitious concept into a world-class facility.

Baker toured various sections of the airport, reviewing operational standards, passenger amenities, and ongoing expansion and upgrade projects. She lauded the airport’s efficient management, modern infrastructure, and the entrepreneurial spirit of Sialkot’s business community, describing SIAL as a strong example of successful public-private collaboration fueling economic growth.

In her interactions, the U.S. envoy highlighted Sialkot’s global standing in exports, innovation, and entrepreneurship. SIAL Chairman Hassan Ali Bhatti welcomed the U.S. Charge d’Affaires and thanked her for visiting the facility. He reaffirmed the airport’s commitment to expanding international partnerships, supporting regional development, and sustaining its growth momentum.
