Sialkot International Airport committed to launch direct flights to Russian cities
Russia’s Ambassador to Pakistan,
Albert P. Khorev, along with a delegation, visited Sialkot International Airport on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for the airport said
the ambassador was received by the chairman, vice chairman, members of the
Board of Directors and the chief executive officer of Sialkot International
Airport Limited (SIAL).
During the visit, SIAL Chairman
Hassan Ali Bhatti briefed the Russian envoy in detail about the airport and
highlighted the role played by Sialkot’s traders and industrialists in its
construction.

Commending the initiative, Ambassador Khorev described the airport as a model worthy of emulation.
Chairman Bhatti reaffirmed SIAL’s
commitment to launching direct flights between Sialkot and cities in Russia and
invited Russian airlines to explore operating services from the airport.
Both sides agreed on the importance
of further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia, particularly
in the areas of trade, connectivity and aviation cooperation.
