Islamabad International Airport becomes fully digital and cashless smart airport

The initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of a Cashless Islamabad and Digital Pakistan

Islamabad Airport becomes cashless after using Zindigi Raast QR technology

In a major step toward a cashless economy, Islamabad International Airport has been fully digitized in collaboration with the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) and Zindigi, powered by JS Bank. The airport now operates as Pakistan’s first fully digital and cashless Smart Airport using Zindigi Raast QR technology.

Under the Smart Airport Initiative, passengers can make digital payments at all airport outlets via any mobile banking app using interoperable Zindigi Raast QR codes, creating a seamless and convenient cashless experience.

The transformation was made possible through the dedicated efforts of key stakeholders, including Sadiq ur Rehman Khan (Deputy Director General, PAA), Rabia Salma (Director Commissioner & Estate), Syed Aftab Gillani (Airport Manager), Amjad Mukhtar Malik (Senior Joint Director Commercial), and Mohsin Khan (Head of Merchant Channels & Retail, Zindigi).
