AIRSIAL to operate three weekly flights on Karachi-Quetta route
AIRSIAL
Airline has officially commenced scheduled flight operations between Karachi
and Quetta, marking an important step toward improving air connectivity for
Balochistan. Aviation sources said the new service is expected to enhance
passenger convenience, encourage regional mobility, and contribute to the
economic and social development of the province.
Under the newly introduced schedule,
AIRSIAL will operate three weekly flights on the Karachi–Quetta route every
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The flights will operate in both directions,
catering to business and leisure travelers seeking reliable and consistent air
travel options.
The inaugural flight, AIRSIAL 161,
landed at Quetta
International Airport at 3:15 pm with 180 passengers on board. The arrival
was warmly received by airport officials and airline representatives, followed
by the departure of the return flight to Karachi, officially marking the start
of round-trip operations on this key domestic route.

To mark the occasion, an
inauguration ceremony was held at Quetta International Airport, attended by
senior officials and stakeholders from the aviation sector. Participants
included Airport Manager Quetta International Airport Malik Waheed Abbas, the
Chief Security Officer of the Airports Security Force, station managers of domestic
and international airlines, AIRSIAL representatives, and other allied
officials.
Addressing the ceremony, Malik
Waheed Abbas welcomed AIRSIAL’s entry into the Quetta market and, on behalf of
the Pakistan Airports Authority, expressed appreciation to the airline’s
management for extending quality air travel services to the people of
Balochistan. He emphasized that enhanced air connectivity plays a crucial role
in promoting economic growth, tourism, business activity, and social
integration in the region.
The airport manager also commended
AIRSIAL’s commitment to safe, reliable, and passenger-friendly services, noting
that the new flights would significantly reduce travel time and provide an
efficient alternative to long road journeys. He acknowledged the coordinated
efforts of airport authorities, security agencies, airline staff, and other
stakeholders in ensuring the smooth launch of operations.

Mr. Abbas further encouraged AIRSIAL
to consider expanding its services by introducing direct flights from Lahore
and Islamabad, stating that such routes would strengthen Quetta’s links with
major cities and further boost economic and social interaction.
Aviation officials noted that Quetta
International Airport has strong passenger potential due to its strategic
location and rising demand for air travel. The airport is equipped with modern
operational, technical, and security facilities capable of supporting expanded
flight operations and increased passenger traffic.
The launch of AIRSIAL’s
Karachi–Quetta flights is being viewed as a positive development for Pakistan’s
domestic aviation sector, reflecting growing airline confidence in regional
routes and supporting broader efforts to improve nationwide connectivity.
Observers believe that sustained
operations and future route expansion will help position Quetta International
Airport as a key aviation hub in western Pakistan, benefiting passengers,
