PAF Chief congratulates cadets and their families on graduation ceremony

The Graduation Ceremony for the 151st GD(P), 97th Engineering, 108th Air Defence, 10th Nav (Alpha), 28th A&SD, 11th Logistics, 134th Combat Support and 98th EC (RSAF) Courses was held at PAF Academy Asghar Khan, Risalpur. Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, presided as the Chief Guest.

Upon his arrival, he was received by Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan, Air Officer Commanding PAF Academy Asghar Khan.

Addressing the graduating parade, the Air Chief congratulated the cadets and their families, praising the Academy’s high standards. He urged the newly commissioned officers to uphold their legacy with courage and professionalism as they defend Pakistan’s airspace. Highlighting a major shift in PAF training philosophy, he noted the integration of future-oriented technologies, leadership development, character building, intellectual enrichment, mental resilience and physical robustness to prepare officers for modern, complex warfare.

Referring to recent regional developments, the Air Chief recalled attempts to challenge Pakistan’s sovereignty during the May conflict. He said the world was “stunned” by the superb execution of PAF operations, crediting the success to national unity, decisive leadership and the tri-service synergy under the “pivotal leadership” of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He added that the PAF established overwhelming aerial dominance using Space, Cyber, Electronic Warfare, UAVs, long-range strike systems and loitering munitions. Multiple advanced enemy platforms—including Rafales, Su-30MKIs, Mirage-2000s, MiG-29s and modern UAVs—were neutralised in what he described as one of the most intense and prolonged BVR-on-BVR engagements in contemporary history.

The Air Chief also highlighted the significance of the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP), describing it as an emerging global hub for aerospace, cyber and IT innovation that will reshape Pakistan’s technological landscape.

He concluded by stressing that PAF’s credibility rests on its operational achievements—not narratives or propaganda. While Pakistan remains committed to peace, he said, any challenge to its sovereignty will receive an even more resolute response.
