CAA conducts Aviation Security Supervisor Course in partnership with UK

CAA and UK's Department for Transport hold training for aviation security supervisors

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), in partnership with the United Kingdom’s Department for Transport (DfT), successfully concluded an internationally accredited Aviation Security Supervisor Course from October 13 to 17, 2025, in Islamabad.

Led by Mr. Muhammad Abdul Ghaffar, Programme Delivery Manager at UK DfT, the course was implemented in close coordination with PCAA to strengthen aviation security supervisory capabilities. His facilitation played a pivotal role in the course’s successful delivery and reflects the deep-rooted collaboration between Pakistan and the UK in the field of aviation security.

Organized under the supervision of the PCAA’s Directorate of Aviation Security, the five-day training was attended by personnel from the PCAA, Airport Security Force (ASF), Pakistan Customs, and the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

The course focused on enhancing supervisory skills in key areas such as threat and risk assessment, crisis response, and leadership in aviation security oversight.

The closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Alasdair Grant, Counsellor for Security and Justice at the British High Commission in Islamabad, who served as the Chief Guest. He commended the sustained cooperation between the UK DfT and PCAA and praised their joint efforts in advancing global aviation security standards.
