Pakistan, Bahrain discuss enhancing cooperation between their air forces  

Pakistan and Bahrain on Tuesday reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing defence collaboration, with a particular focus on joint training and the aviation sector.

The announcement followed a meeting between General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

Both sides underlined the importance of sustained military engagement amid evolving regional challenges. The Air Chief briefed the Bahraini delegation on PAF’s modernisation plans, including infrastructure upgrades, revamped training systems, and the induction of advanced capabilities to strengthen operational readiness and technological edge.

General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa lauded PAF’s “professional excellence and courage” during recent tensions with India and expressed interest in future bilateral exercises and joint training programs to enhance mutual operational experience.
