PIA fails to obtain TCO approval for flights to UK

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has failed to obtain a Third Country Operator (TCO) license to operate direct flights from Pakistan to the United Kingdom, while private carrier Airblue has successfully secured the approval.

The UK Department for Transport (DFT) granted the license to Airblue, enabling it to operate direct flights between the two countries.

PIA confirmed its inability to obtain the license, citing a shortage of aircraft.
