FIA establishes modern facility at Sialkot Airport to stop human trafficking
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration on Tuesday inaugurated a state-of-the-art Scan Line Immigration Control Office at Sialkot Airport, aimed at strengthening measures against illegal immigration and human trafficking.
The facility, established under the direction of Gujranwala’s FIA Director General in collaboration with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and the Danish Embassy, is equipped with advanced forensic and IT tools to detect fake documents, forged visas, and suspicious passports.

FIA officials said the system, designed to meet international standards, will enhance safe, regular, and orderly migration. Similar offices already operate in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, and Peshawar. The Sialkot facility underscores Pakistan’s ongoing collaboration with the European Union to modernize immigration controls.
