Pakistan and Oman discuss to enhance cooperation
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief
Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, has successfully concluded his official visit
to the Sultanate of Oman, where he engaged in high-level discussions with the
country’s civil and military leadership.
According to an ISPR press release,
the Air Chief received full military honors, reflecting the significance of the
visit in strengthening Pakistan-
Oman bilateral ties.

During his visit, Air Chief Marshal
Zaheer Ahmed met with top Omani officials, including:
- General Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the
Royal Office of Oman
- Air Vice Marshal Khamis Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of
the Royal Air Force of Oman
- Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff
of the Sultan’s Armed Forces
- Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser al Za’abi, Secretary-General of
the Omani Ministry of Defence

Omani aircrews.

The Omani leadership expressed keen

and conveyed a strong desire for expanded industrial and technological
collaboration.
The discussions also focused on enhancing
defence cooperation, with both sides emphasizing:
- Joint bilateral and multilateral aerial exercises
- Exchange visits between air forces
- Knowledge-sharing platforms for mutual benefit

The Omani leadership acknowledged
the Royal Air Force of Oman’s participation as observers in Exercise Indus
Shield-2024 and praised PAF’s advanced airpower strategies. They particularly

Electronic Warfare domains, showcased during the exercise.
The visit concluded on a high note,
with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening defence and aerospace
collaboration, ensuring continued strategic partnership between Pakistan and
