Pakistan to strengthen infrastructure at Karachi, Faisalabad and Multan airports 

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has finalized a contract worth 2.2 billion yen with M/s Tech International to strengthen security infrastructure at Karachi, Faisalabad, and Multan airports.

The agreement, which forms part of the Phase-2 JICA Project, follows a successful tendering process in Japan.

Under the terms of the deal, advanced Explosive Detection System (EDS CT) machines and a state-of-the-art Baggage Handling System will be installed at the three airports, significantly enhancing security measures and improving passenger services.

This project is being funded through a Japanese grant under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), with M/s Gyros appointed as the consultant.

Once completed, the initiative is expected to significantly raise the aviation security standards at Pakistan’s key airports.
