US sanctions on Pakistan's missile program will not impact the country's defense: Foreign Office
The Foreign Office has reaffirmed that recent US sanctions on Pakistan's missile program will not impact the country's defense or its security decisions.
In a resolute response, Foreign
Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated, "Decisions regarding
Pakistan's security will be made by the Pakistani nation, free from any
external pressure." She labeled the US sanctions as "unnecessary and
unjust," emphasizing that such actions cannot undermine Pakistan's resolve
to safeguard its national interests.

Ms. Baloch pointed out that Pakistan
has withstood sanctions in the past and maintained its focus on national
security. "The security of our nation has always been a top priority and
will remain so," she asserted.
She also clarified that Pakistan’s
missile program poses no threat to the United States. Highlighting the regional
arms race, she accused India of initiating advancements in missile systems and
nuclear technology. "World powers should hold India accountable to curb
this dangerous competition," she urged.

Addressing European Union concerns
over the trial of civilians in military courts, Ms. Baloch reiterated
Pakistan’s sovereignty. "Our constitution and judiciary are fully capable
of handling internal matters. The Pakistani nation does not need external
intervention to resolve its issues," she concluded.
The US recently imposed sanctions on
four Pakistani firms allegedly involved in the production of long-range
missiles, a move that has drawn criticism from Islamabad.
