Engineers term PIA move illegal to seal their office
Pakistan International Airlines
(PIA) is facing strong criticism after its security team attempted to seal the
office of the Society of Aircraft Engineers of Pakistan (SEAP) amid allegations
of corruption within the airline.
As news of the sealing attempt
spread, a large number of engineers gathered at the SEAP office, where SEAP
representatives asserted that PIA officials arrived without any formal written
orders, calling the move “unlawful.”

SEAP’s spokesperson accused PIA
management of retaliating against the organization after it recently exposed
alleged corruption within the airline, describing the sealing attempt as a
“panicked” and “illegal” response.
The incident has intensified
tensions between SEAP and PIA’s management, with engineers condemning what they
see as an unjust attempt to stifle their organization.
