to operate 171 flights for Hajj pilgrims
Pakistan International Airlines
(PIA) announced on Friday that it will facilitate the return of over 35,000
Hajj pilgrims from Saudi Arabia through 171 flights. This announcement follows
the transportation of 325 pilgrims to Lahore earlier today, marking the start
of the post-Hajj flight operations.
The post-Hajj operations commenced
on Thursday, successfully bringing back 1,200 pilgrims via seven flights to
four different cities in Pakistan.
Authorities have confirmed the
continuation of these special flights until July 21, aiming to repatriate a
total of 70,000 pilgrims under the government Hajj scheme.

PIA is among several aviation
services playing a crucial role in the return of Pakistani pilgrims.
"PIA’s post-Hajj flight PK 764
from Jeddah to Lahore arrived this afternoon, carrying 325 pilgrims adorned
with garlands of flowers," the airline stated.
The airline detailed its plans,
indicating that it would repatriate over 35,000 pilgrims through 171 flights.
The breakdown includes approximately 19,500 pilgrims under the government Hajj
scheme, about 14,900 under the private Hajj scheme, and around 630 Hajj
assistants.
Post-Hajj flights will operate to
various cities, including Peshawar, Islamabad, Sialkot, Lahore, Multan, and
Karachi. Pilgrims from Sukkur and Quetta will travel to their respective cities
via Karachi.
