Pakistan, US to enhance cooperation in air combat training

During his visit to witness Exercise Falcon Talon, Lt. Gen. Derek Charles France, Commander of US Air Force’s Central Command (USAFCENT) called on PAF Chief Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu in his office.

Both commanders agreed to enhance existing ties in tactical and operational domains with a special focus on military-to-military relationship and joint exercises.

PAF Chief accentuated the cordial relations that exist between the two nations, while emphasizing his steadfast determination to elevate the existing synergistic partnership between the two allies.

He termed the ongoing aerial exercise a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral defense cooperation between Pakistan and the United States.

Highlighting constituents of aerial exercise, the Air Chief said exercise Falcon Talon has been designed to enhance both offensive and defensive operations and is crucial for the training of combat crew to hone their skills in near realistic combat environments.

PAF Chief added that existing global security scenario coupled with dynamics of air warfare calls for an enhanced partnership between Pakistan and the US.

Commander USAFCENT while appreciating the indigenization efforts and professionalism of PAF said Exercise Falcon Talon has opened new avenues of strategic cooperation.

He assured to use his role to further enhance bilateral cooperation in the training domain.
