PIA issues tender to sell aircraft spare parts ahead of privatization
As part of preparations for the impending privatization of
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the airline's management has announced a
significant step – the sale of surplus spare parts for various aircraft
categories, estimated at millions of rupees.
Focusing on resource optimization, management has opted to sell
spare parts for Boeing 737, Boeing 707, Fokker, and Cessna aircraft. A tender
has been issued to attract interested buyers.

Reports indicate that these spare parts have been in PIA's
inventory for an extended period. Management has chosen to offer these spare
parts for sale on an "as-is-where-is" basis, inviting bids from
potential purchasers.
Prospective buyers are encouraged to submit their applications to
participate in the tender process, with the deadline set for April 29,
according to PIA administration sources.

In parallel, an extraordinary annual general meeting of PIA has
been scheduled for April 20 to deliberate on the privatization agenda.
