Ethiopia seeks to increase aviation cooperation with Pakistan
The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Pakistan engaged in discussions regarding potential collaboration in the aviation sector to enhance their bilateral relations. The discussions took place during a meeting between Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan, Jemal Beker Abdula, and Federal Secretary for Aviation, Saif Anjum, as stated in a news release.
The two sides extensively deliberated on areas of mutual interest,
including bilateral cooperation for knowledge sharing and technology transfer
within the aviation sector. Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula expressed gratitude
for the vital support provided by the Government of Pakistan in facilitating
the commencement of Ethiopian Airlines’ operations in Karachi.

Furthermore, Ambassador Abdula briefed Secretary Anjum on the
significant role played by Ethiopian Airlines in the effective implementation
of Pakistan's "Look Africa and Engage Africa" policies. These
policies aim to strengthen government-to-government, people-to-people, and
business-to-business relations between Pakistan and African countries. He also
emphasized the increasing popularity of Ethiopian Airlines among the Pakistani
populace, who have shown full appreciation for the services offered by one of
the world's largest airlines.
In response, Federal Secretary for Aviation, Saif Anjum,
acknowledged the pivotal role of Ethiopian Airlines in fostering closer ties
between Africa and Pakistan. He assured the ambassador of his institution's
support in advancing bilateral cooperation within the aviation sector.
