Pakistan and Turkey have affirmed their commitment to strengthen
cooperation in the defense sector. General Ìsmail Güneykaya, Combat Commander
of the Turkish Air Force, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu,
Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, in Islamabad.
The discussions covered various mutual interests, with a specific
focus on bilateral training, advancements in ongoing joint ventures, and the
exploration of additional collaborative opportunities within the aviation
industry.

During the meeting, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu outlined the Pakistan
Air Force's comprehensive modernization strategy, which involves integrating
emerging technologies, reinforcing critical infrastructure, and restructuring
its training setup to address contemporary challenges in air warfare.
Emphasizing the longstanding religious and historical ties between
the two countries, the Air Chief highlighted the exceptional strategic
partnership and expressed gratitude for the Turkish Air Force's participation
in Exercise Indus Shield. He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening bilateral
relations in military-to-military cooperation, strategic alliance, and the
training domain.

in providing training to Turkish aircrew and reiterated Pakistan Air Force's

Pakistan Air Force in developing a robust indigenous aviation industry. He
expressed his commitment to further enhancing the ties between the two nations.
The visiting dignitary expressed interest in exploring training opportunities
for Turkish Air Force pilots in the Combat Commanders Course offered at the Air
Power Centre of Excellence to cultivate tactical brilliance.
