Transport Canada to audit flight and security operations in
Pakistan next month
A team from Transport Canada is set to visit Pakistan on December
4 for a comprehensive audit of flight operations and airport security.
The delegation will specifically conduct the audit of Pakistan
International Airlines (PIA) direct flights to Canada from Karachi Airport on
December 5.

The Canadian Transport team will scrutinize PIA airplanes and
assess airport security arrangements during their visit. Detailed briefings on
security measures at Karachi Airport, including baggage screening, passenger
boarding processes, and overall passenger safety protocols, will be provided to
the delegation.
The primary objective of Transport Canada's visit is to enhance
the security and efficiency of direct flights to Canada from Islamabad, Lahore,
and Karachi.
As part of the itinerary, the Canadian delegation will also visit
the Joint Search Baggage Counter established by the Civil Aviation Authority
(CAA) at Karachi airport.
