Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) bifurcation: employees urged
to select service transfer
The management of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has
implemented a bifurcation plan, prompting its employees to decide on
transferring their service to one of its divisions.
It's worth noting that the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority
(CAA) is being split into two entities: the Pakistan Airport Authority and the
Bureau of Air Safety Investigation.
Under this bifurcation plan, CAA employees are being
requested to make a choice regarding which division they will continue their
duties in.

aviation regulatory body to undergo split into two entities
The CAA's Human Resource Director has issued a notification
to employees across the country, giving them until October 23 to opt for the
transfer of service. The notification clarifies that this decision will not
impact their salaries, whether they choose to work in the CAA or the Pakistan
Airport Authority.
It was announced last month that a nine-member committee had
been established to oversee the division of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The notification revealed that Shazia Rizvi, the Joint Secretary II of the Ministry
of Aviation, has been appointed as the chairperson of the committee. Vice Air
Marshal Taimoor Iqbal will serve as the committee's deputy, and the other
committee members include individuals from the Ministry of Aviation, Ministry
of Finance, CAA regulatory bodies, and other key positions.

The committee has been tasked with completing its work by
October 15. Their responsibilities include overseeing the transfer of assets,
funds, employees, records, offices, furniture, machinery, vehicles, and funds between
the newly formed Pakistan Airport Authority and the Bureau of Air Safety
Investigation.
