AirSial to start flights to Dammam, Saudi Arabia
AirSial, the private
airline of Pakistan, revealed plans on Friday to commence flight services to
Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with the intent of enhancing passenger convenience.
The airline is set to
initiate two weekly flights from both Islamabad and Lahore.
Back in March, AirSial
introduced flight operations to Saudi Arabia, primarily catering to the needs
of Umrah pilgrims.
The inaugural flight,
carrying 160 passengers, took off from Allama Iqbal International Airport
destined for Jeddah. The send-off for the passengers was graced by Chairman of
AirSial, members of the Board of Directors, and officials from the Civil Aviation
Authority at Lahore airport.
In an interview with a
private TV channel, Chairman of AirSial, Fazal Jilani, mentioned that the
airline will soon operate eight weekly flights from Lahore and Islamabad to
Saudi Arabia. The flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and
Sundays.
Jilani further elaborated,
stating, “AirSial will subsequently launch flights from Karachi to Jeddah, as
well as flights from Peshawar to Jeddah and Sialkot to Jeddah in the second
phase.” He added that Airbus A320 aircraft would be employed for the Saudi
Arabia flights.
