PIA pilots get 35% increase in flying allowance
Pakistan International
Airlines (PIA) has recently raised the flying allowance of pilots by 35%, and a
notification regarding this update has been issued.
To be eligible for the 35%
increase in flying allowance, pilots must have completed a minimum of 50 hours
of flying and have at least 10 years of service.
According to the
notification, pilots with 20 years of service will see their flying allowance
increase by 30%. Those with 30 years of service will experience a 25% increase,
while pilots with over 30 years of service will receive a 20% increase in their
flying allowance.
It has been specified that
pilots who refuse to perform their duty or remain absent without a valid reason
will not be eligible for the flying allowance.
Moreover, pilots who fly 60
hours will now receive a per-hour allowance of 150%, and those who fly 70 hours
will be granted a flying allowance of 200% per hour.
Additionally, the
notification states that a flying allowance of 250% per hour will be given to
pilots flying aircraft for 71 hours or more.
The flying allowance for
pilots on domestic flights has been raised from Rs250 to Rs750 per hour, while
the allowance for international flights has been increased from $5 to $10 per
hour.
The approval for the increase in pilots' flying allowance was granted by the Board of Directors of PIA, and it will be effective from June 1.
