PIA issues tender for Airbus A320 landing gear shipset exchange

PIA to exchange landing gear shipsets of A320 aircraft 

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has officially issued a tender inviting bids from eligible suppliers for the exchange of landing gear shipsets installed on select Airbus A320 aircraft within its active fleet.

The procurement process focuses on four specific A320 aircraft, with planned replacement dates scheduled ahead of their respective overhaul deadlines in 2027:

  • AP-BLB: Planned replacement on January 4, 2027 (Overhaul due: February 9, 2027)
  • AP-BLZ: Planned replacement on January 15, 2027 (Overhaul due: March 5, 2027)
  • AP-BLS: Planned replacement on February 15, 2027 (Overhaul due: June 4, 2027)
  • AP-BLY: Planned replacement on July 2, 2027 (Overhaul due: August 2, 2027)

According to the tender specifications, the existing landing gears offered by PIA for the exchange will become due for their second major overhaul upon removal.

Bidding Details and Timeline

To ensure transparency, PIA is conducting the procurement via the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS).

  • Submission Deadline: Bids must be submitted through the EPADS platform on or before August 3, 2026, at 10:30 AM PST.
  • Opening Time: Submitted proposals will be opened digitally via EPADS on August 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM PST.

Interested vendors and eligible aviation suppliers can access detailed tender documents and submission guidelines through the official EPADS portal.
