Zong takes major step to facilitate passengers at Lahore Airport

Zong, one of Pakistan’s leading technology service providers, in collaboration with the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), has inaugurated a dedicated 5G Customer Facilitation Desk at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore. The initiative follows the successful rollout of a similar facility at Islamabad International Airport, marking a key expansion of Zong’s airport facilitation model.

The desk aims to enhance the travel experience by offering seamless SIM activation, high-speed data services, and real-time customer support for both domestic and international passengers. It is part of broader efforts to strengthen the airport’s digital ecosystem, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity at one of the country’s busiest travel hubs.

Aurangzeb Khan, Deputy Regional General Manager, Central A at Zong, emphasized the significance of the initiative: “Lahore is a major gateway for travelers, and immediate connectivity is essential. Through this facility, we are providing reliable and accessible telecom services right at the point of arrival, enhancing convenience and service excellence for passengers.”

Joint Director Commercial at Pakistan Airports Authority Lahore highlighted the partnership’s impact: “Our priority is to continually improve passenger facilitation through modern, efficient services. Partnering with Zong allows us to offer enhanced digital support, contributing to a seamless and comfortable airport experience.”

The 5G-ready desk reflects Zong’s commitment to next-generation technologies, diversified products, and AI-enabled solutions that support smarter, more connected travel experiences. The initiative was made possible through close coordination with senior officials from the Pakistan Airports Authority, including the Director General, Deputy Director General (Airports), Director Commercial & Estate, as well as the Airport Manager-COO and Senior Joint Director Commercial at Lahore International Airport.
