In
a move to streamline services for overseas Pakistanis, the Punjab government
has established a dedicated kiosk for international driving licenses at Allama
Iqbal International Airport—the first such facility at any airport in Pakistan.
According
to officials from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the kiosk enables
eligible citizens to obtain an international driving license within minutes,
provided they already hold a valid domestic driving license. The kiosk also
offers other license-related services, making it a convenient option for
travelers.
Officials
added that similar kiosks are being installed at key traffic intersections
across Lahore to assist traffic wardens and further enhance service delivery.
