PIA owner stresses that future employment will be performance-based
Prominent businessman Arif Habib
has reaffirmed his commitment to turning Pakistan International Airlines into
a profitable organization, stating that employee performance will determine job
security.

Nazimabad, he said making PIA profitable remains his top priority. He
acknowledged employees’ past contributions, noting their role in the airline’s
earlier success.
Habib assured job security for employees but stressed that future employment will be performance-based, adding that only those delivering results will remain with the airline.

He said the airline’s name cannot be changed
under existing agreements and highlighted its importance for millions of
Pakistanis at home and abroad. He also pledged to encourage overseas Pakistanis
to travel with PIA, with a focus on Hajj and Umrah services.
He further noted plans to revive sports
activities within PIA as part of a long-term vision.
At the event, Mohsin Naqvi distributed prizes, while Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood was also present.
